Over the years, a logistics service provider had accumulated a considerable number of lead-acid batteries to power its ever-growing fleet of vehicles. Now was the time for cleaning up. A pool of batteries with the same troughs should be formed to reduce their number but at the same time ensure the availability of the vehicles.

Many industrial truck manufacturers use the same batteries in similar trucks. This allows “like-minded” batteries to be combined into a pool. However, this should be intelligently controlled with systems such as Next Battery Guard and MD LOADmanagement:
